Salmon House is a celebrated Westcoast seafood restaurant in West Vancouver overlooking Downtown and the inlet. It opened in 1976 and has been known for its high-end seafood and breath-taking views. It is praised among West Vancouver's residents as well as people from Metro Vancouver. As a well-established fine dining restaurant, the demographic of its clientele is on the mature side.

Therefore, the design of the menu must fit the restaurant's brand image and also satisfy its clients' tastes. The dominant deep navy blue references the establishment's ocean view and seafood theme. The organic pattern on the cover of the menu is a simplified abstract illustration of the salmon skin. Overall the design is to be simple yet elegant, and most importantly, legible to the viewers.
